Thy Will Be Done…

Far too often, I have prayed... "Dear God, wherever you are leading me I will follow." Well, it was merely a prayer until my religious life transformed into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It was a season of brokenness and desperation for the one true God. I longed to be close to Christ, to heart his voice, and to know the plans he had for me. Because growing up on your own and making decisions for yourself at a young age taught me to be independent, strong, and determined. But, I wanted to be like Jesus. I wanted to be in His will. I wanted to be His hands and feet on this Earth. I wanted men and women to look at me and see Christ. So, after months of praying and seeking His face God answered that prayer. He showed me during a worship service, "It is Done, Shan!" Now, I just have to trust and believe that all of those plans that He has for me will be done according to His perfect will. For he loves me and cares for me.
